Communications Refresh

Over the past few weeks, we’ve made a few changes to our communications.

You’ve noticed that our bulletins are shorter in length! Since we switched to a standard 5-page bulletin in June, we’ve saved more than 4,000 sheets of paper, which represents roughly 1/3d of our total printing during the same quarter last year.

In addition to our print changes, there are a few other changes in the building. The large bulletin board right outside the office wing is now regularly updated, and there’s a new “kiosk” board in the commons. Both of these boards will help increase the visibility of various events, gatherings, and other happenings at Central.

But our most significant changes are taking place online!

  • Our website has been updated and reorganized, and now includes a search bar. These changes should help you more easily find information. On the website homepage, you’ll notice a new section, “Happening @ Central,” which will offer monthly and special updates about events or other information.
  • More folks are using OneChurch! And you’ll find information about many things happening at Central via the OneChurch calendar. You can find the calendar by logging into OneChurch, or by finding the “events” page on the church website.
  • We recently made a few adjustments to our “This Sunday @ Central” email, so that information is presented in chronological order. And we’ve made some changes to font and font size in an effort to make things more readable.
  • We’re back on Facebook!! Please interact with us there with “likes,” comments, or “shares!” Every interaction and engagement makes it more likely that someone new will find out about Central.
  • And! We’re now livestreaming on Youtube. We’ve heard from a folks that they would love to watch our services on Sunday morning, but don’t want to do it on Zoom. So, we’re thrilled to now offer youtube as an option. You can find the link on our livestream page.

Thanks for your patience as we’ve introduced (and rolled-back) changes to help you stay connected with Central.
