Our Whole Lives

Central UCC offers the Our Whole Lives Program which is a series of sexuality education programs for six age groups. For children, we offer classes for K-1st and for grades 4th to 6th graders. For youth, we offer the 7th-9th grade level. Our Whole Lives, together with Sexuality and Our Faith, equips participants with accurate, age-appropriate information in six subject areas: human development, relationships, personal skills, sexual behavior, sexual health, and society and culture. It provides not only facts about anatomy and human development, but helps participants to clarify their values, build interpersonal skills and understand the social, emotional and spiritual aspects of sexuality. The activities are age appropriate, loaded with information, interactive, relevant and often fun. We presently teach these courses in alternate years. The next children’s classes will be in the Spring 2014. The youth class will be in the Fall 2013.
